Super Sports with Fancy Features

Kia ora, welcome to my blog,

This week we have been writing recounts using language features. So now that we have learnt all of these language features this term we need to use them in our writing.

These are the language features we have been learning about for the past weeks:

Onomatopoeia  - ‘Bang’

Metaphor - “You are the sun!’

Personification “The clouds danced across the sky.”

Hyperboles - “I was so embarrassed I would have stuck my head in the toilet to hide.”

Alliteration - “It was time for super Sunday sports.”

Dialogue - “Don’t move,” Ellenessa whispered.

So the first things we did was answer in our documents the questions: who why, what, when, where, and how. we wrote down these ideas in bullet points. Then we looked for places where we could include ur language features. We highlighted the different language features in different colours and then yesterday turned our planning into a story.

Here are some of my ideas that answer the question 'WHAT'

What?

  • Fun Friday super sports
  • Line up on the court when the bell rings
  • Walk over to the highschool
  • Into the old gym
  • Wait for our coach
  • Start training and warm ups
  • Game: finding positions, getting bibs, choosing the right spaces, Sonnie says, Coach says,

This is the start of my writing.

3/9

Fun Friday super sports it's now over. But now I'm going to tell you all about it. We have winter sports on Sunny Fridays when it is dry with all the other schools in our cluster.

Narrative Writing Planning by Malama

 Kia Ora readers,

My name is Malama and today I am going to be sharing my narrative writing.

For narrative writing there was 6 boxes we had to write a story I added 3 characters They were Temera Tori and Malama I was Malama but I was a story teller. We had to write a story in each of them but we had to add language features.

One of the language features I used was a metaphor. A metaphor  means that a person is like something else like you are tree or a sun. But my line was that " Temera was kicking Tori like a wild cat".

Another language feature I used was a Dialogue I said  "GET HER GET HER HAND SHES A STRONG ONE!! " Tori said. The reason why I said it was a dialogue because someone is saying something.

I have not finished my story I only got to do my plans but I will be sure I will get it finish and post it when I have time.

But now I am going to be sharing my Narrative writing enjoy readers.

Thank you for reading leave a comment and have a stunning day

 Hi Readers!

It's Riley here writing for our class blog.

I also went to some workshops. the First workshop I went to was how to use Canva. The second workshop I went to was the one Me, Jade and Sean were doing. The third one I went to was how to use Scratch Junior. The forth one I went to was how to use Mihi maker. Here are some photos of me Sean and Jade doing our presentation.

Thank you for reading my blog post! Have a nice day!

Our Tree Planting Trip by Zahina

Kamusta everybody,

On Wednesday September 16, the trusted trekkers, health leaders and some other people that have been amazing at school or just have been chosen got to go on a field trip to plant trees.

What I expected was to just plant a big seed in the ground and look around the farm but I was wrong what we actually did was we...

..first off drove for about half an hour to go to springfield for toilet break and playground time….

…..then it took us maybe 15 minutes to go to the farm near Springfield to plant trees more than once but about as much as we wanted….

...after we planted the plants, we walked towards the cows however there was some down sides, there were cow poop everywhere! We all made it through and saw these lovely cows…….

Finally we had lunch and after we had finished eating we played games that caused some problems, although we got to see a cat named Spook. Lastly we viewed the whole farm inside the van and headed home while some of us slept in the vehicle like me.
