Kia ora, welcome to my blog,
This week we have been writing recounts using language features. So now that we have learnt all of these language features this term we need to use them in our writing.
These are the language features we have been learning about for the past weeks:
Onomatopoeia - ‘Bang’
Metaphor - “You are the sun!’
Personification “The clouds danced across the sky.”
Hyperboles - “I was so embarrassed I would have stuck my head in the toilet to hide.”
Alliteration - “It was time for super Sunday sports.”
Dialogue - “Don’t move,” Ellenessa whispered.
So the first things we did was answer in our documents the questions: who why, what, when, where, and how. we wrote down these ideas in bullet points. Then we looked for places where we could include ur language features. We highlighted the different language features in different colours and then yesterday turned our planning into a story.
Here are some of my ideas that answer the question 'WHAT'
What?
- Fun Friday super sports
- Line up on the court when the bell rings
- Walk over to the highschool
- Into the old gym
- Wait for our coach
- Start training and warm ups
- Game: finding positions, getting bibs, choosing the right spaces, Sonnie says, Coach says,
Kia ora Room 9,
ReplyDeleteWe are Team Toroa at Awapuni School. You've create a really good reflection. It's really long and we can see how much detail you've put into it. You've used some great examples and added a picture too so we can see what you've actually been doing. Was your task to write a recount about your sport and include those language features? Whose writing was started on the 3/9 in this post?
Keep up the great blogging,
